Basic art supply list:

None of these are required, but the more you have, the more fun things we can try and the easier the lesson will be for you (lower quality supplies end up being an obstacle).

Paper/substrate:

  • Mixed media pad

Handhelds

  • Brushes
    • Minimum quality should have wood handles
    • 1″ wash
    • 12 flat
    • Detail brushes
  • Pencils
  • Art erasers
  • Colored pencils
  • Regular Crayola markers (not washable!)
  • Black sharpies (thin and thick)

Paint (aim for student grade)

  • Watercolor set
    • Ideally get these in tubes so you can refill paint and get richer, darker colors as a result. Just make sure the refilled paint is always bone dry on the palette before using.

Misc

  • Blue painters tape
  • Mod podge glue
  • Elmers glue
  • Paper towels or rags
  • Salt
  • Flour
  • Scissors
